Your 5 days Uganda Gorilla Trekking Safari will take you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda where you will find mountain Gorillas that are friendly, funny sociable and calm. The impenetrable forest has a predicted number of 320 populations of gorillas approximately half of their population on earth. And on top of every mammal in this forest it has a variety of birds of over 346 species, more than 200 butterfly species, and 324 species of trees making it a really magical place to explore.

ITINERARY

Day 1: Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

After an early breakfast, we will pick you from your hotel or place of residence at 7:00 am, Our Guide will brief you about the safari and the journey to the park will begin. Stop overs will be made to see the sights and have lunch on the way to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. You will then drive though the seeable parts of the parks and settling in to the loggings for the evening.

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Forest

On this day you will set out to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park headquarter; you will be briefed on the dos and don’ts of a gorilla tracking activity. The mountain gorillas can be trekked by a maximum of 8 people for 2-7 hours. After finding the friendly giants, you will spend an entire hour with them observing their way of life; how they feed their young, how they find their food so that you can interact but also conclude your trip.

Day 3: Transfer to the Queen Elizabeth N. Park

On the third day of primate safari, you will have breakfast before checking out of your lodge and head to Queen Elizabeth National Park. You reach later in the afternoon check in your lodge, have lunch and choose to go out for a wildlife game drive in the Parks game tracking regions. The Kasenyi track and the Queen’s Mile will offer amazing sights of wild game such as the tree lions, antelopes, warthogs, elephants, buffaloes, hippos and water-bucks. The Kasenyi Track is among the best game viewing places in Queen Elizabeth National Park and also a wonder bird watching destination.

Day 4: Activities in the Queen Elizabeth National Park

You have an early breakfast before undertaking a wildlife game drive in the park to see amazing wildlife. You have lunch in the later evening before going for a 2 hour boat-cruise on the Kazinga Channel. This channel is a natural attraction for water birds while the Mweya peninsula serves as a migrant trap for Albertine Rift Endemics.

On the banks of the channel you will spot bird species like the Great White & Pink-backed Pelicans, the African Open billed Stork, the Black Crake, Yellow-backed Weaver, the Great & Long-tailed Cormorants, the Common Squacco Heron, Malachite, the White-faced Whistling as well as Knob billed Ducks, Yellow-backed Weaver, the African Fish Eagle, Spur-winged & African Wattled Plovers, Water Thick Knee, Swamp Flycatcher as well as the African Jacana.

Day 5: Return to Kampala: On the final day of your 5 days Uganda gorilla wildlife safari you have breakfast, before heading to Kampala or Entebbe International Airport to catch your flight marking the end of your safari!

5 Days Bwindi Gorilla & Chimpanzee Safari

This Bwindi Gorilla Chimpanzee Safari takes you to two national parks were you will be able to track gorillas and chimpanzees. Kibale National Park is located in western Uganda and it’s one of the greatest rain forests in East Africa. This national park is famous for the chimpanzees and many other primate species. Each family of chimpanzees has over 120 individuals and each group has got a complicated social structure.

Another place you will tour is Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park home to over half of the world population of the mountain gorillas. The park consists of many animal and plant species including; about 348 bird species, 120 mammal species, 220 butterfly species, 27 species of chameleons, enchanting frogs, the geckos, flowering plants, 104 fern species, and 163 species of trees. Some of the bird species include; the turacos and the horn bills.

ITINERARY

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Forest

After an early breakfast, we will pick you from your hotel or place of residence at 7:00 am, our guide will brief you about the safari and the journey to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park will begin. Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest

After an early breakfast, in your respective lodgings you will go to the meeting sanctuary where you will be briefed about the gorilla trekking in the Impenetrable forest. You will be allowed to spend some time in the presence of the gorillas after you have tracked them for about 3 to 5 hours. Here you will see how all friendly and hospitable these gentle giants are while experience this adventure with you. You will then take a few worthy pictures and relax in the afternoon, after which you will head for a “Batwa Experience”. The Batwa – pygmy people are the native forest dwellers.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale Forest

On the third day of primate safari, you will have breakfast before checking out of your lodge and head to Kibale Forest National Park. You reach later in the afternoon check in your lodge, have lunch and choose to go out on nature trail or visit the Ndali Crater Lake region.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale Forest

You will have a hearty breakfast before heading to Kibale National Forest Park, then a short briefing at the park before undertaking the chimpanzee trekking. Chimpanzee trekking is one of the most fascinating safaris undertaken in the forest since it is habited by a vast number of the primates. Also expect to see a variety of bird species nestled under trees in the forest.

After spending time with the chimpanzees, you will have lunch and thereafter enjoy an afternoon walk in the Bigodi wetlands for about 3 hours. The wetlands are a home to a variety of monkey species that you are bound to find intriguing. Another activity you can undertake today is Chimpanzee habituation trekking at your own expense.

Day 5: Return to Kampala – End of Safari

On the final day of your 5 days gorilla and chimpanzee safari you have breakfast, before heading to Kampala or Entebbe International Airport to catch your flight. This will mark the end of your safari!

ITINERARY

Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

Drive from Kampala in the morning with your guide to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest park and home to 451 bird species and 76 mammal species. And some of which would monkeys like the colobus monkey, blue monkey and chimpanzees. You will also view the spectacular falls.

Day 2: Murchison Game drive and the Nile Boat cruise

On this day, you will have a tasty breakfast and set out for a game drive. The tour guide will lead you to the finest places to easily see the animals. You will certainly enjoy Uganda’s true wilderness as you will be taking the best pictures that will be unforgettable on this safari. Then the boat cruise on the Nile will be best. On the boat you will have a great time on the Victoria Nile, the boat takes you to the bottom of the falls. You will observe various animals like elephants, crocodiles, large numbers of hippos, buffaloes, water bucks and also birds such as the storks, fish eagle among others.

Day 3: Transfer from Murchison Falls to Kibale Forest

Enjoy an early breakfast at the lodge and drive to Kibale Forest National Park; you will take pleasure in the beautiful scenery of this countryside which makes the journey more exciting. Have your lunch en route in Fort portal town and continue as you will have great vies of the Rwenzori ranges. Check in at your lodge before going for an optional guided nature walk in Bigodi wetland which is home to various birds and primate species. Later have dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Trekking Safari in Kibale Forest

Get up so early for breakfast and head to the park, where you will be briefed and later start off with Chimpanzee trekking in the forest. Kibale forest is among the charming places well-known for different primates and several crater lakes within Uganda.

In the morning you will see the chimps in their natural environment. These chimps are also exciting and this very close encounter will reward you with a memorable experience on your trip. After lunch you will drive to the Mweya peninsula in Queen Elizabeth National Park where you will arrive in the late afternoon. Have a delicious dinner and night rest.

Day 5: Game drive and launch cruise in the Queen Elizabeth

Enjoy your breakfast and set out for a game drive through the Kasenyi track and where you have a chance to observe different wildlife species like lions, elephants, antelopes, buffaloes, waterbucks, giraffes and if lucky enough leopards together with amazing beautiful bird species. Queen Elizabeth has a diversity of Uganda’s ecosystems such as the Savannah, wetlands, lakes and forests. With this, its scenery is spectacular with crater lakes like Nyamunuka and various shrubs and forests.

Later head back to the lodge for lunch and relax. In the afternoon go for a launch cruise on Kazinga channel; this is one of the most memorable experiences from the park. Take pleasure in observing different water birds together with their echoing sweet sounds and animals such as hippos, African crocodiles, waterbucks, buffaloes among others. After experiencing the true wilderness, drive back to the lodge for a night rest and dinner.

Day 6: Forest Walk and Chimpanzee Tracking in Kyambura

Breakfast in the morning and head for a guided forest walk in Maramagambo forest with the hope to see diverse birds species, python and bat caves. You will also track chimpanzees in the Kyambura gorge. Head back to the lodge have lunch as you prepare for an evening game drive through the park.

Day 7: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

After breakfast transfer to Bwindi via the Ishasha sector as you will have a chance to observe tree-climbing lions in the wild. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is home to over 346 bird species, 120 mammal species, 400 plant species, 27 frog species among others and covering an area of 331 sq km.

Have lunch en route and continue with your journey combined with amazing and spectacular views of banana, tea plantations and the overall green vegetation of the area. On reaching the park check in at lodge of preference. Have dinner and overnight stay as you wait on the big day for gorilla tracking.

Day 8: Gorilla tracking and Community walk in Bwindi Forest

After a cup of tea, head to the park head offices with your guide. You will be briefed on the dos and don’ts of a gorilla tracking activity. The mountain gorillas can be trekked by a maximum of 8 people for 2-7 hours. After finding the friendly giants, you will spend an entire hour with them observing their way of life; how they feed their young, how they find their food so that you can interact but also conclude your trip.

In the evening, go for a community walk where you will visit the Batwa, which is an indigenous group of people that has lived in the forest for many years, enjoy traditional dances from them. Head back to the lodge for Dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

Have breakfast and transfer to Lake Mburo National Park, which is approximately a 6 to 7 hours’ drive. You will go through the outstanding scenery in Kabale which is a combination of terraced hills, forests, banana plantations among others. Have lunch in Mbarara and continue to Lake Mburo which is home to over 332 bird species, sitting on an area of 371 sq km.

A number of animals made it their home such as Zebras, impalas, warthogs, topics, waterbucks, buffaloes, and reed bucks among others. Upon arrival, you will have a boat cruise on the lake where your eyes will be fed with lots of wonders like the birds, crocodiles, hippos, zebras among others. Have dinner and a night rest.

Day 10: Return to Kampala

As you come to the end of this adventurous safari, you will have breakfast and leave for an early game drive. There you will see numerous zebras, Impalas, warthogs and antelopes living in their many natural habitats.

You will stop over in Masaka for you to witness the equator and drop you either in Entebbe for your flight home or to Kampala.

The park is gifted with spectacular vegetation that you are bound to find breathtaking. Later in the afternoon, you will embark on a boat launch on the Kazinga channel, a fresh water channel joining lakes Edward and George known for its high population of hippopotamus, crocodiles and water birds like flamingos and pelicans

    ITINERARY

    Day 1: Travel to Murchison Falls N.P. – Rhino Tracking

    On this first day, we will pick you from the location you will be at then travel to Murchison falls national park. You will go through Luwero, and later have a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino tracking; here you will find both black and white rhinos. You will have another stop in Masindi where you will have lunch then after proceed to the park.

    Day 2: Game drive and a boat cruise along the Victoria Nile

    On this day wake up early and have breakfast at 6:30 am, after your driver and the ranger guide will pick you up from the lodge to start your Game drive at 8:00 am. After the game drive at around 11:40 am, drive back to the lodge, relax/freshen up and have lunch as you prepare for the afternoon boat cruise. On the boat you will be able to see various things like the river Nile crocodiles, elephants, leopards rhinos along the banks of the Nile as well as different birds species, clamped in the trees such as the bee eaters, the shoe billed stork and many others.

    The boat ride will take you to the base of the Murchison Falls, when you reach here you will be able to see clearly the legendary waterfalls. Being at the top of the falls is an amazing experience as you will watch the magnificent falls squeezing through the rocks in an 8m gorge. Take as many photos as you can.

    You will then meet your driver guide who will drive you back to the lodge. Have dinner and an Overnight.

    Day 3: Drive to Kibale Forest National Park

    On this third day we will be starting with a hearty breakfast before heading to Kibale National Forest Park, then a short briefing at the park before undertaking the chimpanzee trekking.      Day 3: Game drive and walk at the Hot springs

    Today you will set out early for a game drive and have an idea how animals start the day. Look out for elephant, warthog, duiker, Jackson’s Hartebeest, lion, leopard, zebra, giraffe, herds of buffalo, cheetah and hundreds of bird species. After an afternoon rest, you will have another game drive that will lead you to the Hot springs. You will take a walk around these hot water streams.

    Day 4: Morning game drive and afternoon Community visit

    After breakfast, embark on a morning game drive through the Narus Valley. it will also enable you to be in full sight of varieties of birds as well. In the evening you will drive to a nearby village for a community experience. Kidepo Valley Wildlife Uganda, Discover the interesting beliefs and values of the Karimojong people. You will also be able to see some of their traditional tools, crafts and jewelry. You will also be invited for a vigorous leaping dance with these jolly individuals.

    Early in the morning after breakfast, we will drive directly to drive directly to Queen Elizabeth National park. The drive takes 3 hours and we will pass through fort portal and arrive at the park in the lunch hours, On your arrival, check at the lodge and enjoy your lunch as you prepare to enjoy a game drive with in the park, you will view many animal species including the birds, elephants, lions, buffalos, kob, antelopes and many more.

    Queen Elizabeth is mainly famous for the many wildlife species and the Kazinga channel which connects Lake George and Lake Edward. Uganda Safari Holiday, The Park covers an area of 767 sq. miles and it’s a home to many bird species as well as crater lakes. After the game drive, return to your lodge for an overnight and dinner.

    Day 4: Morning Game Drive and a Boat Cruise

    We shall wake so early in the morning, proceed to the park to engage in an early morning game drive to view the early morning risers in kasenyi track, get chance to view many animals including; lions, elephants, solitary buffaloes, kobs, antelopes, etc. these animals can be view at a closer range. Return to the lodge for breakfast and lunch as you prepare to enjoy a boat cruise along the Kazinga channel, were your eyes will be fed with variety of water animals and birds.     Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi Forest National Park

    Early in the morning after breakfast, drive to towards the south of the park through the great shinning Savannah vegetation and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national Park via the Ishasha sector which is famous for the tree climbing lions. This park is popularly known for the largest population of gorillas in the whole world.

    On your arrival at the park, check in at the lodge, enjoy lunch and after proceed for a late evening nature walk or cultural trail within the park, get chance to view many animal species including; the antelopes, kobs, water buck, warthogs, elephants and many birds.

    Day 6: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Forest

    After an early breakfast, in your respective lodgings you will go to the meeting sanctuary where you will be briefed about the gorilla trekking in the Impenetrable forest.     ITINERARY

    Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

    Drive from Kampala in the morning with your guide to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest park and home to 451 bird species and 76 mammal species. And some of which would monkeys like the colobus monkey, blue monkey and chimpanzees. You will also view the spectacular falls.

    Day 2: Murchison Game drive and the Nile Boat cruise

    On this day, you will have a tasty breakfast and set out for a game drive. The tour guide will lead you to the finest places to easily see the animals. You will certainly enjoy Uganda’s true wilderness as you will be taking the best pictures that will be unforgettable on this safari. You will be seeing lions, lioness plus their cubs together with other wild animals such as elephants plus giraffes moving, buffaloes and antelopes grazing in the savannah.

    On the boat cruise, you will have a great time on the Victoria Nile; the boat takes you to the bottom of the falls. You will observe various animals like elephants, crocodiles, large numbers of hippos, buffaloes, water bucks and also birds such as the storks, fish eagle among others.

    Day 3: Transfer from Murchison Falls to Kibale Forest

Have your lunch en route in Fort portal town and continue as you will have great vies of the Ruwenzori ranges.

    Check in at your lodge before going for an optional guided nature walk in Bigodi wetland which is home to various birds and primate species. Later have dinner and overnight at the lodge.

    Day 4: Chimpanzee Trekking Safari in Kibale Forest

    Get up so early for breakfast and head to the park, where you will be briefed and later start off with Chimpanzee trekking in the forest. Kibale forest is among the charming places well-known for different primates and several crater lakes within Uganda.

    In the morning you will see the chimps in their natural environment. These chimps are also exciting and this very close encounter will reward you with a memorable experience on your trip. After lunch you will drive to the Mweya peninsula in Queen Elizabeth National Park where you will arrive in the late afternoon. Have a delicious dinner and night rest.

    Day 5: Game drive and launch cruise in the Queen Elizabeth

    Enjoy your breakfast and set out for a game drive through the Kasenyi track and where you have a chance to observe different wildlife species like lions, elephants, antelopes, buffaloes, waterbucks, giraffes and if lucky enough leopards together with amazing beautiful bird species. Queen Elizabeth has a diversity of Uganda’s ecosystems such as the Savannah, wetlands, lakes and forests. With this, its scenery is spectacular with crater lakes like Nyamunuka and various shrubs and forests.

    Later head back to the lodge for lunch and relax. In the afternoon go for a launch cruise on Kazinga channel; this is one of the most memorable experiences from the park.     Day 6: Forest Walk and Chimpanzee Tracking in Kyambura

    Breakfast in the morning and head for a guided forest walk in Maramagambo forest with the hope to see diverse birds species, python and bat caves. You will also track chimpanzees in the Kyambura gorge. Head back to the lodge have lunch as you prepare for an evening game drive through the park.

    Day 7: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

    After breakfast transfer to Bwindi via the Ishasha sector as you will have a chance to observe tree-climbing lions in the wild. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is home to over 346 bird species, 120 mammal species, 400 plant species, 27 frog species among others and covering an area of 331 sq km.

    Have lunch en route and continue with your journey combined with amazing and spectacular views of banana, tea plantations and the overall green vegetation of the area. On reaching the park check in at lodge of preference. Have dinner and overnight stay as you wait on for the day of gorilla tracking.

    Day 8: Gorilla tracking and Community walk in Bwindi Forest

    A number of animals made it their home such as Zebras, impalas, warthogs, topics, waterbucks, buffaloes, and reed bucks among others. Upon arrival, you will have a boat cruise on the lake where your eyes will be fed with lots of wonders like the birds, crocodiles, hippos, zebras among others. Have dinner and a night rest.

    Day 10: Return to Kampala

    As you come to the end of this adventurous safari, you will have breakfast and leave for an early game drive. There you will see numerous zebras, Impalas, warthogs and antelopes living in their many natural habitats.

    Day 1: Travel to Murchison Falls National Park

    A guide will pick you from the Hotel in Kampala in the morning after breakfast and transfer you to Murchison falls through the Luwero. On the way, visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary where you will track rhinos and have lunch at the restaurant. Proceed to the park where you will see the mesmerizing falls passing through the 7-meter gap with rocks and form the Victoria Nile. After head to the lodge, have supper and an overnight.

    Day 2: Game Drive and Boat Cruise along the Victoria Nile

    On this day wake up early and have breakfast at 6:30 am, after your driver and the ranger guide will pick you up from the lodge to start your Game drive at 8:00 am. After the game drive at around 11:40 am, drive back to the lodge, relax to freshen up and have lunch as you prepare for the afternoon boat cruise. On the boat you will be able to see the river Nile crocodiles, elephants, rhinos along the banks of the Nile as well as different bird species clamped in the trees such as the bee-eaters, the shoe billed stork and many others.     After breakfast, take a 2 hours’ drive to Ishasha which is home to tree-climbing lions. With the help of skilled park rangers, you will also such out for these lions and imagine how amazing it is to watch the lions in trees. Have lunch at the lodge or in form of a picnic.

    Day 7: Transfer to Bwindi Forest National Park

    On this day, you begin your journey to Bwindi the habitat of gentle giants Mountain gorillas. This journey will take you through Kigezi highlands and their various terraced hills. Have Lunch on your way or from the lodge; it will be dependent on your arrival time. Have dinner and take a rest at your lodge.

    Day 8: Mountain Gorilla Tracking Safari in Bwindi

    Talk of gentle giants with a 98% DNA close to that of humans, it’s the Mountain gorillas that made Bwindi Forest their home. Also, other species like butterflies, plants, primates, mammals, butterflies, frogs, among others are also found here. After briefing at the headquarters, you will be led by the rangers into the jungle to track gorillas.

    This experience usually takes 1 hour to about 8 hours since gorillas move differently also and only 1 hour is granted to capture your greatest moments with the gorillas. Just in case some of you are not interested in tracking gorillas, you can go for a short guided forest walk or a Village walk to the Batwa community. Return to your lodge.

    Day 9: Drive to Lake Bunyonyi

    Today after breakfast while still in the mood of reminiscing about the previous day’s gorilla experiences, you will drive to Lake Bunyonyi, which is Africas second deepest lake and a birders spot. Enjoy the eye-catching landscapes such as the locally terraced interlocking hills where most locals carry out their farming. After heading out for a canoe ride on the lake which harbors 29 islands and almost every island with a history such as the Punishment Island – enjoy the stories from the guides on this boat ride. 13 Days Complete Uganda, Return to the lodge, have lunch and in the afternoon, take a walk, or hike up the hills to enjoy more spectacular views of forests and lakes, or watch birds, or read a book while relaxing by the lake shores, or swim in the lake which is Bilharzia free and safe for swimming.

    Day 10: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

    After breakfast, embark on the 4 hours and 30 minutes’ drive to Lake Mburo National Park – among Uganda’s smallest parks with lunch en route.

    The park is home to a big number of Zebras, also impalas, Oribis, buffaloes, warthogs, waterbucks and also over 332 bird species made it their home. When you arrive in the park- in the afternoon go on a boat cruise along Lake Mburo, take enough photographs.

    Day 11: Drive to Kampala

    Enjoy an early breakfast, after doing a game drive as you continue to Kampala, have a stop at the Equator line; take photos and also buy some souvenirs from a craft shop. Enjoy lunch still at the Equator or in Kampala depending on the time you arrive there.

    After lunch, drive to Jinja located in the East of Uganda and the home of the source of the Nile River. Arrive in the evening and have dinner and take a rest at the lodge/hotel of your choice.

    Day 12: Source of the Nile – White Water Rafting

    Have an early breakfast and head out for today’s activities. The Nile River finds its source in Jinja where it starts the 4000 km through different African countries. The guide will take you to the Source of the Nile while on a guided boat ride.

    After the boat ride, go for half a day rafting on the rapids which is an adventure and an unforgettable experience. Have lunch and after you could choose to rest at the lodge on the swimming pool or go for optional activities like bungee jumping or kayaking or quad biking or Horse riding

    Day 13: Departure – End of Safari

    Take breakfast and leave Jinja for Kampala. While on the journey to Kampala, you will stop to buy some souvenirs to take home with you. If you have a flight on the same day your guide will transfer you to Entebbe as you bid farewell to Uganda.

    Day 1: Arrival and hotel transfer.

    You will arrive at the airport and will be met and received by our guide driver who will brief you and transfer you to BlueBerries Inn for an overnight stay.

    Day 2: Transfer to Murchison falls national park.

    After an early morning breakfast, depart Kampala for Murchison Falls National Park. That allows you a visit to Ziwa Rhino sanctuary (track the Rhinos here) proceeding later for lunch in Masindi town. On arrival at the park, you will encounter a variety of monkeys, baboons, among others as you proceed for a visit to the top of the falls.     Day 3: Game drive and Boat cruise in Murchison falls NP

    After an early morning warm up tea/coffee, you will transfer for a game drive to the northern bank in search of animals like: lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, hartebeests, oribis, Uganda kobs, buffaloes among other animal and bird species that your guide will help you spot. This will see you return for lunch at Paraa safari lodge.     Day 4: Transfer to Kibale forest national park.

    After breakfast depart Murchison Falls with your parked lunch and drive Southwest via the Albertine Escarpment of the Western Rift Valley through Hoima, the town of the Bunyoro Kitara kingdom passing through verdant countryside tea plantations and traditional homesteads. You will arrive in Fort Portal town the capital of the Tooro kingdom late in the afternoon proceeding to your hotel. Dinner and overnight at Turracco Treetops Lodge

    Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking and birding in Bigodi Swamp.

    After your breakfast at 8:30am, you will transfer to the chimpanzee tracking information office for a pre-briefing by your ranger guide who will then lead you into the rain forest in such of Chimpanzees and other primates, including L’hoest’s, Red-Colobuses, Blues, Red-tailed and grey cheeked Mangabeys swinging through the dense forest. The guide will provide detailed explanations on not only primates, but also on all the forest’s fauna and flora, ensuring that your walk is both informative and enjoyable.     Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

    After breakfast you will check out of the hotel with your packed lunch and transfer for a tour of the crater lakes. A dramatic landscape of crater lakes cupped under steep hillsides, the area south of Fort Portal offers travellers a scenic retreat ideal for long walks and road cycling. Much of the land is cultivated, but primates and plenty of birds occupy the lake shores. Emblazoned on Uganda’s USh20, 000 note, picturesque Lake Nyinambuga makes a worthwhile photo op. Of all the crater lakes, Lake Nkuruba is considered the most beautiful, surrounded by forest with black-and-white and red colobus.     Day 7: Game drive and Boat launch

    After an early morning warm up tea or coffee, you will head for a game drive along Kasenyi tracks and Queens Mile in search of animals like: lions, elephants, cape buffalos, warthogs, spotted hyenas, mangoose, waterbucks, kobs and, if you’re lucky the leopard and about 606 bird species recorded here.     Day 8: Game drive in Ishasha Sector

    Wake up to a typical Queen Elizabeth breakfast and check out of the safari lodge after your breakfast. You will transfer to Ishasha the southern sector. This will see you go on a game drive coming across herds of buffaloes, elephants and countless of different antelopes, birds of all kinds around you, and most likely you are the only vehicle. Your guide will point out what you otherwise might miss. Lunch and later in the afternoon transfer for a game drive down to the Lake Edward floodplains and you just might find a shoebill stork if you look carefully and once again you will have the assistance of the guide on board to assist you and hopefully you will see an occasional leopard and spot more tree climbing lions.     Day 9: Transfer to Bwindi National Park.

    After your breakfast, you will transfer for a game drive to the Ishasha sector in search of the rare tree climbing lions (however, this will depend on the road condition to Ishasha at the time of visit otherwise you may go via Ishaka) proceeding to Bwindi impenetrable gorilla forest national park. Dinner and overnight at Ruhija gorilla safari lodge.

    Day 10: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi.

    After an early morning breakfast, you will be transferred to the gorilla tracking information office for a pre-briefing by the ranger guides who will then lead you into the forest trekking this great relatives of ours (Gorillas). The rainforest is dense and is crisscrossed by numerous animal trails, the thrill of spending time and observing the gorillas is a memorable one. Gorillas are shy and peaceful animals and it is an unforgettable experience to watch and photograph them as they interact with each other. After this day’s gorgeous adventure, you will return to your lodge for lunch (if not parked) and if time allows, transfer for a short community/nature walk to see this local people’s way of life and cultures or just relax at your lodge, dinner and overnight at Ruhija gorilla safari lodge

    Day 11: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi.

    After early morning breakfast, drive to lake Bunyonyi. The lake is located between Kisoro and Kabale in the southwestern Uganda close to the border with Rwanda and it’s believed to be the second deepest lake in Africa with the depth between 44m and 900m deep and width of about 7 to 25kms. The driver will drive slowly so you can enjoy pictures of the rolling hills of the region. Upon arrival at Lake Bunyonyi with great scenic views of surrounding hills, connect for a boat ride/ canoe paddle and visit the main islands including the community.     Day 12: Transfer to Kampala via Mbarara

    Day 13: Transfer to Jinja for a Day Express White Water Rafting on River Nile

    Early this morning after your breakfast, you will drive to the adventure capital Jinja. Jinja lies in the south east of Uganda, 54 miles (87 km) north east of the capital, Kampala. It is located on the shores of Lake Victoria, near to the source of the White Nile River. Arriving in time for rafting briefing, here you choose to raft in the paddle-powered boats for one of the wildest raft rides on the planet, or opt to be rowed downstream by our professional guides in the safety raft. After a buffet lunch you will hit a series of more wild rapids and wind the evening with BBQ snacks after rafting. Return to Entebbe via Kampala in the evening for overnight and dinner at BlueBerries Inn

    Day 14: Visit to UWEC and Transfer to airport

    After breakfast, you shall have a visit to the Uganda Wildlife Education Center (Zoo) to have an up-close with Uganda’s animals and the newly introduced Tigers and later on transfer to the Airport for your flight back home with memories of the Pearl of Africa.
